V Variabilitas kualitas citra tulisan tangan akibat kondisi pencahayaan yang tidak merata dan perbedaan media tulis (kertas polos dan kertas bergaris) menjadi tantangan utama dalam sistem klasifikasi kepribadian berbasis grafologi, karena sering kali mengakibatkan hilangnya detail fitur grafologi vital seperti tekanan tinta. teknik pra-pemrosesan yang umum digunakan seperti global histogram equalization dan contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization (clahe) belum mampu mengatasi permasalahan ini secara konsisten pada berbagai kondisi media tulis. penelitian ini menganalisis efektivitas teknik sub-image histogram equalization (sub-image he) sebagai metode pra-pemrosesan citra tulisan tangan pada sistem klasifikasi kepribadian enneagram berbasis arsitektur mobilenetv2 untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut. metode sub-image he yang diimplementasikan secara mandiri dibandingkan dengan skenario tanpa preprocessing (original), global histogram equalization, dan contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization (clahe). evaluasi dilakukan melalui tiga dimensi: kualitas citra objektif (psnr dan ssim), pelestarian fitur grafologi (delta fitur), dan performa klasifikasi mobilenetv2. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun clahe unggul dalam metrik kualitas citra absolut (psnr tertinggi) dan pelestarian fitur, sub-image he menunjukkan ketahanan (robustness) lintas domain yang lebih baik, dengan penurunan akurasi hanya 1,21% saat berpindah domain media tulis. temuan ini mengonfirmasi bahwa sub-image he merupakan pilihan pra-pemrosesan yang andal untuk sistem asesmen kepribadian berbasis grafologi yang memerlukan stabilitas performa pada variasi media tulis yang beragam.kata kunci : sub-image histogram equalization, mobilenetv2, klasifikasi kepribadian, enneagram, grafologi, pra-pemrosesan citra.
I Image quality variability in handwriting caused by uneven lighting conditions and differences in writing media (plain paper and lined paper) poses a major challenge for graphology-based personality classification systems, often leading to the loss of vital graphological feature details such as pen pressure. commonly used preprocessing techniques such as global histogram equalization and contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization (clahe) have not been able to consistently address this problem across varying writing media conditions. this study anv alyzes the effectiveness of sub-image histogram equalization (sub-image he) as an image preprocessing method for handwriting images in an enneagram personality classification system based on the mobilenetv2 architecture to address this challenge. the independently implemented sub-image he method is compared with scenarios without preprocessing (original), global histogram equalization, and contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization (clahe). the evaluation is conducted across three dimensions: objective image quality (psnr and ssim), preservation of graphological features (feature delta), and mobilenetv2 classification performance. the results show that while clahe excels in absolute image quality metrics (highest psnr) and feature preservation, sub-image he demonstrates better cross-domain robustness, with an accuracy drop of only 1.21% when switching writing media domains. these findings confirm that sub-image he is a reliable preprocessing choice for graphology-based personality assessment systems that require performance stability across diverse writing media variations.keywords : sub-image histogram equalization, mobilenetv2, personality classification, enneagram, graphology, image preprocessing.
