C Children born out of wedlock often face difficulties in securing their rights to well-being and proper growth and development, primarily due to the absence of the biological father\\\'s involvement. although various laws and regulations provide for the protection of children\\\'s rights, their implementation within society still encounters numerous obstacles. the research questions addressed in this study are: (1) how is the well-being of children born out of wedlock specifically regarding their proper growth and development realized in the absence of the father\\\'s role? (2) what efforts can be undertaken by the family, the community, and the government to ensure child well-being in accordance with law number 4 of 1979 concerning child welfare? this study employs a normative legal research method with a descriptive socio-legal approach. data were gathered through a literature review and field research, including interviews with mothers of children born out of wedlock and relevant informants. the findings indicate that the fulfillment of well-being for children born out of wedlock has not yet been optimally achieved. identified obstacles include the failure to secure the right to identity, the lack of responsibility shown by biological fathers, and the persistence of social stigma affecting the child\\\'s development. therefore, synergy among the family, the community, and the government is essential achieved through strengthened legal protection, education, and improved access to child welfare services to ensure that children\\\'s rights are fully realized.
