B Bahan bakar biodiesel merupakan energi alternatif dalam mesin diesel, karena mengandung bahan dasar dari tanaman yang dapt mengurangi kadar emisi gas buang yang negatif dari hasil pembakaran di ruang bakar dan dapat mengurangi pemakaian minyak bumi yang berlebihan. Pada tugas akhir ini akan di boat dan di ujicoba bahan bakar biodiesel berbahan baku VCO ( virgin coconut oil ) dengan menggunakan katalis NaOH dan KOH, bahan bakar biodiesel vco tersebut akan di uji kinerjanya termasuk kadar opasitas yang dihasilkan dengan beberapa bahan bakar lain yaitu solar, solar 80% dicampur biodiesel vco KOH 20%, solar 80% di campur biodiesel vco NaOH 20%, dan VCO murni. Metode penulisan tugas akhir ini dibuat berdasarkan dari pengujian bahan bakar di lapangan menggunakan alat opasimeter tecnomotor model 0383 serata literature dad perpustakaan dan dos mbim yang bers gkutan
B Biodiesel fuel is an alternative energy in diesel engines, because it contains basic ingredients from plants that can reduce the level of negative exhaust emissions from combustion in the combustion chamber and can reduce excessive use of petroleum. In this final project, a biodiesel fuel made from VCO (virgin coconut oil) will be tested on a boat and tested using NaOH and KOH catalysts. The performance of the VCO biodiesel fuel will be tested including the opacity levels produced with several other fuels, namely diesel, 80% diesel mixed with 20% KOH VCO biodiesel, 80% diesel mixed with 20% NaOH VCO biodiesel, and pure VCO. The method of writing this final project is based on fuel testing in the field using a tecnomotor model 0383 opasimeter as well as literature from the library and related mbim dos.
