Penerapan konsep Arsitektur Eco-Technology diterapkan melalui mengaplikasikan variabel making connections, urban responses, energy matter, civic symbolism, structural expression, dan sculpting with light.
T The Ship Passenger Terminal/TPKL as a port supporting facility has a strategic role to accommodate passenger embarkation and debarkation activities as well as maritime tourism related to ocean-going activities. Service improvements regarding operating systems, comfort, and feasibility are carried out to be able to provide optimal service for users of marine transportation modes. The location of The Ship Passenger Terminal located on the seafront, requires planning and design related to spatial, ease of circulations, and overall design which can utilize the potential of nature by considering sustainability and environmental sustainability. The application of Eco-Technology Architecture approach is apply variables of making connections, urban responses, energy matter, civic symbolism, structural expression, and sculpting with light. Implementation of making connection through the procurement of pedestrian plaza and skyline walk connecting TPKL with port facilities and nearby transportation facilities. The application of urban responses through asymmetrical period forms that provide shadowing, the orientation view to the North-South, the procurement of green area for water absorption, and roofing with different heights provides shadowing as a solution to the microclimate of the site. The Application of energy matter through the use of pholtovoltaic panel technology, rainwater reservoir system from the roof through gutter processed to be processed through water treatment system. The application of civic symbolism through the form of repetition of saddle roof with the concept of folding structure. The application of structural expression through the use of saddle roof in the form of exposure to roof structures and high-ceiling in terminals. The Application of sculpting with the light through floor to ceiling glass panels in the north-south area of the terminal to maximize the view and natural lighting, controlled with the use of sun shader and louvre.
