S Salah satu jenis tumor ganas kelenjar liur adalahkarsinoma muko-epidermoid disamping pleiomorfik adenokarsinoma,adenokarsinoma dan karsinoma sel skuamosa (Burket,1977). Karsinoma jenis ini ditemukan 6-97. dari seluruh kasustumor kelenjar liur dan sepertiganya dari seluruh tumorganas. (Rankow dan Polayes, 1976).Dalam skripsi ini, penulis akan membahas secara mikroskopiskarsinoma muko-epidermoid yang menyerang kelenjar liurpada mukosa bibir. Penulis mengharapkan skripsi ini akandapat menambah pengetahuan tentang karsinoma muko-epidermoidkarena masih minimnya narasumber yang menguraikan karsinomajenis ini secara jelas.
M Mucoepidermoid carcinoma is one type of malignant salivary gland tumor, alongside pleomorphic adenocarcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma (Burket, 1977). This type of carcinoma accounts for 6–9% of all salivary gland tumor cases and one-third of all malignant tumors (Rankow and Polayes, 1976).In this thesis, the author examines, from a microscopic perspective, mucoepidermoid carcinoma affecting the salivary glands of the labial mucosa. The author hopes this thesis will contribute to the understanding of mucoepidermoid carcinoma, given the scarcity of sources that clearly describe this type of carcinoma.
