Hubungan indeks massa tubuh dengan derajat premenstrual syndrome pada siswi SMA Negeri 17 Jakarta
P Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) merupakan kumpulan gejala fisik, psikologis dan emosi yang berkaitan dengan siklus menstruasi pada wanita. Di Indonesia prevalensi PMS mencapai 85%, salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh kelebihan berat badan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan indeks massa tubuh dengan derajat PMS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan desain studi cross sectional. Pengambilan data secara simple random sampling pada bulan September sampai Oktober 2017 di SMA Negeri 17 Jakarta dengan 138 responden. Data diperoleh dengan mengukur berat badan dan tinggi badan untuk mendapatkan indeks massa tubuh, sedangkan derajat PMS dinilai dengan kuesioner Shortened Premenstrual Assesment Form (SPAF). Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Chi-Square dengan kemaknaan p < 0,05. Sebanyak 106 responden (76.8%) mengalami PMS derajat ringan dan 32 responden (23.2%) sisanya mengalami PMS derajat sedang hingga berat. Terdapat hubungan antara indeks massa tubuh dengan derajat PMS pada siswi SMA Negeri 17 Jakarta dengan nilai p = 0.002. Terdapat hubungan antara indeks massa tubuh dengan derajat PMS pada siswi SMA Negeri 17 Jakarta.
P Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is a collection of physical, psychological and emotional symptoms associated with the menstrual cycle in women. In Indonesia the prevalence of PMS reaches 85%, which can be affected by being overweight. The purpose of this study to know relationship between body mass index and the degree of PMS. This research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional design. Samples were collected using simple random sampling in September to October 2017 in 17 Senior High School Jakarta with 138 respondents. Datas were obtained by measuring body weight and height to obtain the body mass index, whereas the degree of PMS were assessed using Shortened Premenstrual Assessment Form (SPAF) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square statistic test with significance p <0,05. A total of 106 respondents (76.8%) experienced a mild degree of PMS and 32 respondents (23.2%), the rest had moderate to severe PMS. There was a correlation between body mass index and PMS degree in 17 Senior High School Jakarta students with p value = 0,002. There was a correlation between body mass index and PMS degree in 17 Senior High School Jakarta students.
