P Pt makmur lestari primatamama (pt mlp) merupakan perusahaan tambang nikel yang beroperasi di kecamatan langgikima, kabupaten konawe utara, sulawesi tenggara. berdasarkan hasil observasi lapangan, kondisi stockpile eto miami barat dan wdk miami barat belum memenuhi ketentuan teknis sebagaimana diatur dalam keputusan menteri esdm no. 1827 k/30/mem/2018, ditandai dengan timbulnya genangan air akibat belum tersedianya saluran drainase, belum adanya tanggul pembatas, serta material spoil yang belum tertata rapi di sekitar area penimbunan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi aktual stockpile, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab permasalahan, serta menyusun rancangan desain stockpile yang sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku.metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan observasi langsung di lapangan, menggunakan data primer berupa kondisi aktual stockpile dan data sekunder berupa data curah hujan periode 2019–2023, data topografi, serta orthophoto area penelitian. perhitungan curah hujan rencana dilakukan menggunakan metode distribusi gumbel, intensitas curah hujan dihitung dengan persamaan mononobe, dan debit air limpasan dihitung menggunakan rumus rasional. dimensi saluran terbuka dirancang menggunakan rumus manning, sedangkan pengolahan data topografi dan pembuatan desain dilakukan dengan bantuan perangkat lunak surpac dan arcmap.hasil penelitian menunjukkan debit total air limpasan yang masuk ke area stockpile sebesar 1,67 m³/detik, dengan dimensi saluran terbuka berbentuk trapesium meliputi lebar dasar 1 m, lebar atas 4 m, kedalaman 2 m, tinggi jagaan 0,67 m, dan kemiringan dinding saluran 43°. tinggi tanggul pengaman yang direkomendasikan sebesar 0,92 m, telah memenuhi syarat minimal ¾ dari diameter ban kendaraan terbesar yang beroperasi. lantai stockpile dirancang dengan kemiringan 3° mengarah ke saluran terbuka guna mengoptimalkan pengaliran air permukaan. rancangan desain ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pt mlp dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan mengurangi risiko operasional pada area stockpile.
P Pt makmur lestari primatamama (pt mlp) is a nickel mining company operating in langgikima district, north konawe regency, southeast sulawesi. based on the results of field observations, the condition of the west miami eto and west miami wdk stockpiles has not met the technical requirements as stipulated in the decree of the minister of energy and mineral resources no. 1827 k/30/mem/2018, characterized by the occurrence of waterlogging due to the unavailability of drainage channels, the absence of a barrier embankment, and spoil materials that have not been neatly arranged around the stockpile area. this study aims to find out the actual condition of the stockpile, identify the factors causing the problem, and prepare a stockpile design design in accordance with applicable regulations.the research method used is a quantitative method with a direct observation approach in the field, using primary data in the form of actual stockpile conditions and secondary data in the form of rainfall data for the 2019–2023 period, topographic data, and orthophoto of the research area. the calculation of planned rainfall was carried out using the gumbel distribution method, the rainfall intensity was calculated using the mononobe equation, and the runoff water discharge was calculated using the rational formula. the dimensions of the open channel are designed using the manning formula, while the processing of topographic data and the creation of the design is done with the help of surpac and arcmap software.the results showed that the total discharge of runoff water entering the stockpile area was 1.67 m³/second, with the dimensions of the trapezoidal open channel including a base width of 1 m, an upper width of 4 m, a depth of 2 m, a guard height of 0.67 m, and a slope of the channel wall of 43°. the recommended safety embankment height of 0.92 m, has met the requirements of at least 3/4 of the diameter of the largest operating vehicle tires. the stockpile floor is designed with a 3° slope leading to an open channel to optimize surface water flow. this design design is expected to be a reference for pt mlp in improving efficiency and reducing operational risks in the stockpile area.
