T This study discusses the regulation of street vendors in the manonda inpres market area of ​​palu city by the civil service police unit in accordance with government regulation number 16 of 2018 concerning the civil service police unit and the empowerment of street vendors. the problem is whether the satpol pp has carried out the main duties and functions of regulating street vendors in the manonda inpres market of palu city in accordance with government regulation number 16 of 2018 concerning the civil service police unit and the empowerment of street vendors. the method used is a normative legal research method, descriptive, using secondary data supported by primary data, analyzed qualitatively, and concluded deductively. the results of the study indicate that normatively, satpol pp has a clear legal basis, authority, and sop in implementing the regulation of street vendors in the manonda inpres market, kora, palu. however, researchers\\\' findings in the field indicate that the implementation of these enforcement efforts does not fully reflect the duties and functions of the public order agency (satpol pp) as stipulated in government regulation number 16 of 2018 concerning the public order agency (public order), due to limited personnel, time, and intensity of supervision, the high number and mobility of street vendors, low levels of vendor compliance, and limited market facilities and infrastructure. these conditions mean that street vendor enforcement efforts tend to be temporary and unable to create sustainable order.
