A According to Bhaskar (1975), 92% of the radiolucent lesions observed in the jaws—excluding those associated with periodontal disease—are located in the periapical region of the teeth.Furthermore, clinicians have reported that a portion of these periapical radiolucencies develop following endodontic treatment (Bhaskar, 1975; Stafne and Gibilisco, 1975).Given the high frequency of these occurrences, it is necessary to further examine the various aspects concerning radiolucent lesions in the periapical region of the incisors (Bhaskar, 1975; Goaz & White, 1982).
