P PT. Tirta investama is a private company engaged in the mineral drinking water industry. This company is a producer of AQUA mineral drinking water. In addition to being a producer of AQUA drinking water, the company also acts as a distribution center for these goods to consumers. As a distribution center for goods, the company has many sources of goods delivery, including for the West Jakarta area has 6 sources of goods delivery. In distributing its products in these areas, the company faces a problem, namely how to determine the target demand for goods in each delivery source and distribute the target demand for goods to the delivery destination for August 2000 by minimizing the cost of goods transportation so that the company can increase its profits. To solve this problem, in this final assignment research, the following activities will be carried out: collecting data on goods demand at each delivery destination, data on goods capacity at each source, data on distance traveled from each source to the delivery destination and conducting calculations regarding the results of goods demand forecasting at each delivery destination and conducting calculations regarding the problem of goods delivery transportation. The demand forecasting test is based on the plot of goods demand data and then calculated based on the following forecasting methods: Linear Regression Method, Quadratic Regression, Multiple Exponential Smoothing Method, Sikhs Regression Method, and Multiple Moving Average Method. From the comparison results between the 5 methods, the best forecasting method can be determined in each source used as a target for goods demand to consumers for the coming period. Meanwhile, to solve the problem of goods transportation, a transportation method is applied using the help of the Microsoft Excel program. Based on the results of forecasting calculations and testing with data verification, it was found that the results of demand forecasting in each shipping source can represent the actual demand data, so that the forecasting method used to calculate the target demand for goods in each shipping source can be accounted for. Meanwhile, to solve the transportation problem, it was found that the transportation method can be used because the transportation cost is 3.69% cheaper than the company's realization in June and July 2000 and the minimum transportation cost for all goods shipments based on the goods shipment schedule in August 2000 is as follows (in Million Rupiah): in week 1: 195,145,147,123,101, in week 2: 190,146,273,98,144; in week 3: 158,124,272,99,157; and in week 4: 188,148,154,88,104 with a total transportation cost of Rp 3.51 M_ It is expected that the results of the distribution planning calculations can be used as a proposal to the company in fulfilling consumer demand to obtain maximum company profits.
