P Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan aditifminyak sereh wangi terhadap karakteristik fisik dan emisi gas buang bahan bakarminyak (bbm) research octane number (ron) 90 dan 92. pengujian dilakukanmenggunakan variasi penambahan aditif sebesar 0 %, 5 %, 10 %, dan 15 % padatemperatur 15°c, 20°c, 30°c, dan 55°c. parameter yang dianalisis meliputi densitas,viskositas, flash point, fire point, serta emisi gas buang yang terdiri atas formaldehida(hcho), total volatile organic compounds (tvoc), particulate matter (pm)2.5,pm10, karbon monoksida (co), dan karbon dioksida (co₂). pengukuran densitasdilakukan menggunakan piknometer, viskositas menggunakan viskometer ostwald,peningkatan temperatur menyebabkan penurunan nilai densitas dan viskositas padaseluruh sampel bbm. sebaliknya, penambahan aditif sereh wangi meningkatkan nilaidensitas, viskositas, flash point, dan fire point pada kedua jenis bahan bakar. nilai flashpoint dan fire point meningkat secara bertahap seiring bertambahnya volume aditif,yang menunjukkan peningkatan kestabilan termal bahan bakar. pada pengujian emisi,penambahan aditif memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap penurunan emisi partikulat.pada bbm ron 90, nilai pm2.5 menurun dari 62 µg/m³ menjadi 54 µg/m³ dan pm10dari 96 µg/m³ menjadi 77 µg/m³. sementara itu, pada bbm ron 92, nilai pm2.5menurun dari 60 µg/m³ menjadi 38 µg/m³ dan pm10 dari 84 µg/m³ menjadi 53 µg/m³.

T This study aims to analyze the effect of adding citronella essential oil as a fueladditive on the physical characteristics and exhaust emissions of research octanenumber (ron) 90 and ron 92 gasoline. the experiments were conducted by addingthe additive at concentrations of 0 %, 5 %, 10 %, and 15 %, and testing the samples attemperatures of 15°c, 20°c, 30°c, and 55°c. the parameters analyzed includeddensity, viscosity, flash point, fire point, and exhaust emission characteristicsconsisting of formaldehyde (hcho), total volatile organic compounds (tvoc),pm2.5, pm10, carbon monoxide (co), and carbon dioxide (co₂). the results showedthat increasing temperature caused a decrease in the density and viscosity of all fuelsamples. in contrast, the addition of citronella essential oil increased the density,viscosity, flash point, and fire point of both ron 90 and ron 92 gasoline. the flashpoint and fire point increased gradually with increasing additive volume. the emissiontest results showed that the additive had a positive effect on reducing particulateemissions. for ron 90 gasoline, pm2.5 decreased from 62 µg/m³ to 54 µg/m³, whilepm10 decreased from 96 µg/m³ to 77 µg/m³. meanwhile, for ron 92 gasoline, pm2.5decreased from 60 µg/m³ to 38 µg/m³, and pm10 decreased from 84 µg/m³ to 53 µg/m³.
